Lions Club of Dhaka Buriganga visits and donates SOS Children’s Village Dhaka

Lions Club of Dhaka Buriganga visited SOS Children’s Village Dhaka and donated two refrigerators as a part of their October Service Programme-2012 on 4 October.  During their visit a common sharing session was held the at Village’s auditorium. The District governor of the Lions Club of Dhaka Buriganga, Ln. A. J. Enayetun Noor MJF was present as Chief Guest and Mr. Ghulam Ahmed Ishaque, National Director; SOS-Bangladesh was also present as the Guest of Honour. President, Past District Governor, 1st and 2nd Vice District Governors, Cabinet Treasurer and others members of the club, Deputy National Director of SOS-Bangladesh, Project Director of SOS Children’s Village Dhaka, all co-workers, mothers and children were present in the session.

In his address, the National Director of SOS-Bangladesh briefed the guests about the activities of SOS Children’s Villages International. The guests were highly pleased introducing with the activities of SOS Children’s Villages International. The Chief Guest hopes that this sharing has opened the door for long term co-operation between the two humanitarian organizations. She requested the president and the members of the club to continue relationship for the best interest of the children. After the session, the guests visited a family house and expressed their happiness to see how the SOS Children’s Village is serving for the deprived children.

The programme was ended by handing over two refrigerators for two family houses of the Village that was donated by the club.
